Randall-Reilly buys the Truck Show Las Vegas
Acquisition grows company’s Event Group while
strengthening its presence in the Western U.S
TUSCALOOSA, ALA. (February 6, 2007) – Randall-Reilly Publishing has purchased all assets of the Truck Show Las Vegas, held annually in June in Las Vegas, Nevada, at the Las Vegas Convention Center.
“This is an opportunity to grow our tradeshow platform, while serving the marketing needs of our customers,” says Mike Reilly, Randall-Reilly president and chief executive officer. “We look forward to using our many publications, websites, extensive databases and other products to effectively reach the entire pool of potential attendees.”
The 2006 event attracted 15,002 attendees and 366 exhibitors. Independent Trade Show Management founded the show in 2003 after its contract expired on the production of another industry event.
“It is clear that Las Vegas is the right location for a western event in trucking,” says Roger Sherrard, ITSM president. “Randall-Reilly is the right group to take the show to the next level. They have the resources, industry knowledge and relationships to grow the event and properly deliver all that exhibiting companies will expect.”
The Truck Show in Las Vegas will offer truck makers, trailer, engine and component manufacturers, as well as other suppliers, the opportunity to reach private fleets, for-hire trucking companies and owner-operators, says Alan Sims, executive director of Randall- Reilly’s Event Group. “Truck operators in the West spec much of their equipment differently than the rest of the country,” Sims says. “They need one significant, annual
event that can meet their needs. Over the next few years, this event will become the preferred industry choice.”
Randall-Reilly also produces the Great American Trucking Show, held annually in Dallas. GATS has been recognized by Tradeshow Week, a leading industry publication, as one of the “Fastest 50,” the fastest growing events in the U.S. and Canada, as well as one of the “Tradeshow 200” events, which represent the 200 largest events in the U.S. and Canada. The 2007 Truck Show Las Vegas will be held Thursday, Friday and Saturday, June 7, 8, 9, at the Las Vegas Convention Center.
